Week 27

So…this week’s been very different… not that much has been going on. It's really just been kind of a slow week hopefully next week will be better. This week we visited a lot of less active members and were able to invite them all to come to church and surprisingly they all did! It’s definitely been different kind of just a weird vibe but those weeks will come! hah I'm not going to lie I've felt pretty trunky this past week or so… miss that fam and a bunch of other stuff. I know I'll make it through. Sorry this post is going to be kind of short but thanks for checking in love you guys!!

Week 26

Hey guys!!

Well this week has been crazy awesome! Me and my companion have had some super awesome opportunities to go knocking a ton and it's been so amazing… a real testimony builder to me :) Also it's his birthday today so that's just been a plus hah. This week’s been really good! We had dinner at this one family's house and it was this chicken alfredo pasta thing it was so good!! And then last night we went to this family's house and they made this pork, mash potatoes and string beans thing. Man it was so good!! Sorry this week is going to be a little short but I'd like to bare my testimony that I know this church is true and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet on the earth today. I know our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and it's all to better us in the end. Rough times may come or people might not understand but he always has a plan. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Week 25 - A new area and a surprise guest!

Hey guys!

At this moment I'm chilling on the couch I don't feel so hot but that's okay hah. This week’s been crazy! I'm in this super small town/ area called Sealy, Texas. My companion is pretty chill and we've been having a great time! Saying goodbye to all of the families in College Station was something that was pretty hard but I know I'll stop by and see them again some time. :) The new area is really small but all of the members are super nice and really involved! We had a crazy thunder and lightning storm today (Sunday) which was crazy to drive through but …super-duper cool to see all the Lightning and stuff. We've been” finding” all day pretty much and we've seen so much success from doing that plus I've lost like 10 pounds just from walking all day long. :p We've also been able to find 9 new people that we've been teaching!

So funny story…or not so funny… the elder before me wasn't the most clean guy ever and well on Sunday we had a huge cleaning sesh after church and it was pretty gross let me tell you! We moved our fruit bowl in the back corner on the counter and we found a gecko! We thought it was dead but nope that sucker started moving right quick! But now our apartment is fresh smelling and clean as can be!

On a fun note…We ate with this super awesome family and the daughter’s fiance is now one of our investigators! He looks just like Kevin Hart!! Super funnyJ… told us this story about when he went to Cali and someone thought he was the actual Kevin Hart and yeah just super funny!

We've made a goal that every night we want to hit the bed like dead tired and so I'm just about to hit the hay but thanks for checking in guys love y'all lots!

Week 24 - I am getting transferred...

Hey y'all! 

Well transfers are tomorrow and we got the call last night that I'm leaving my area and so the packing process begins :p hahah! It’s kind of bitter sweet I'm glad I get to go somewhere new but I'm leaving something that's become my home since I got here. I know the lord has plans for me and that I'm going where I'm going for a reason. I just feel like I'm going to an area with a bike but we’ll see :p hahah. I'm going to miss Elder Cabrera too, we've had a really rough time as a companionship and I feel like we were just getting so close but will see each other again. And the crazy thing is Elder Christensen and a bunch of other elders I know are going home including Elder Spragg! Noooo hah all my Oregon brethren are gone now. One man wolf pack now hahaha but I know Elder Cabrera is going to do great in this area and whoever comes here is going to love it!

Just a quick update on how the week went. We had dinners all week which was flipping amazing! We had this awesome taco salad stuff at someone's house and they called it PILE ON… man was it good hah and then had pizza another day and oh yeah the good stuff! Then eggs and ham with some bacon and beans which was so good! This week’s visits were actually pretty chill, we visited a lot of less actives and a lot of members just to get to know them and to say hi.

I would like to bare my testimony that I know this church is true and that our Heavenly Father knows each and every one of us. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of the church and that Tomas S Monson is the true prophet on the earth today. I know families can be together forever. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen. Thanks for checking in you guys I'll talk to ya next week!

Week 23

Well this week I've decided to kind of just take it easy and just relax and I haven't been stressed at all this week it's crazy!! I had two companion exchanges and I learned so much from both of them! My first exchange was with Elder Pesci from Las Vegas, Nevada… man did we have some fun hahah! We checked out some cowboy boots and I'm not going to lie I wanted a pair really bad hahah. We also were able to teach so many people and come in contact with people we had never met before!! We had some pretty awesome conversations before we went out,  but I also learned you know when someone is dozing off when they give you like a 2 minute pause before they respond and then it's usually a "mhm oh definitely" or something along the lines of that hahah. Then when we got back Elder Herrera tried to wrestle me but I was to fast hah! (Really it’s something you had to be there for! hah)

My next exchange was with Elder Gibson our zone leader! He goes home this transfer and had some questions about the outside world hah! I was very willing to fill him in on what's been going on hahah. Along with that he had some questions about dating…which I of course helped him out with! ;) It was great because we also were able to come in contact with so many people! I was able to gain a lot of knowledge from the both of them!

This week has gone by way fast! And next week we will get the transfers call so that's coming up quick! I'll let you guys know what goes on! Love ya and thanks for checking in!
