Well He is Off! Thoughts from mom...

Yesterday, was a big day for the Tidwell family. Everyone got up before 4 am to take, Elder Tristin Tidwell to catch his flight, which was leaving PDX at 6 am. Being the oldest of 6 kids, this was something very new for us. He is the first in our family to serve a mission so none of us really knew what to expect. As he packed the night before he left, I was able to share some very touching moments with him and was able to let him know how much he is loved and will be missed. It was a bit emotional, but in a very positive light. Although we are very pleased with his decision to serve a mission, It was definitely tough saying goodbye. With tears in his eyes and excitement in his heart, he walked through the airport security and was on his way. It was bittersweet for all of us! We can't wait for a letter/email to hear how it is going!!

Riding the elevator to the terminal.
Last family pic...well minus mom...

Last mom and son selfie.

Then comes the goodbyes...so hard. Such a tender moment.
He is all ready to go!

What's even better, he gets to travel with a friend!
Also entering the MTC on the same day!

Then they were off...
